The two musicians started to play together as classmates at Manhattan School of Music, where they both are studying a Master in Jazz Music. They immediately felt comfortable playing music in duo and quartet, inviting other musicians.

Since moving to the USA from South Korea in 2010, jazz pianist Mina Yu has made a powerful impression on other musicians and the public for her prodigious musical talent and the contemporary flavor of her music. These attributes have made her highly in demand as a bandleader, session player, recording artist, educator and writer.

Mina gained an scholarship for studying in Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. During her time at the college she had the opportunity to meet and play with many great musicians such as Greg Osby, Ron Reid, Terri Lyne Carrington, Dave Samuels and Sean Skeete. She also received the Mary Jane Earnhart award and Professional Division award and was the pianist for the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra and the Jazz Writers Collective.

Aurora Arteaga

Aurora moved to USA in 2013, thanks to a Fulbright Scholarship for Artists, but she had a longer background as a composer, educator, singer and cello player in Spain.She earned Musicology and Music Teaching Degrees in the UAM, and did professional studies of Violoncello.

She started to work as jazz musician with different jazz groups in Spain, using her voice like an instrument, while studying with Deborah Carter, Barry Harris, Bob Stoloff or Sheila Jordan.She has a Degree in Jazz Singing from the Higher Conservatorium of the Basque Country, Musikene, where she studied during four years with Judy Niemack or Guillermo Klein among others.

Based in New York, she works as a musician with different projects and studies a Master of Music in Jazz Performance, under the tutelage of Gretchen Parlato, Theo Bleckmann, Dave Liebman or Rogerio Boccatto.
